Your new role

As Case Manager, your purpose is to contribute to KFA's vision by supporting young people to engage in their education and by delivering results and sustainable growth.

The primary purpose of the Tailored Learning Case Manager position is to provide one-on-one assertive outreach case management services to young people supported by the Department for Education's Tailored Learning services. The individual will be responsible for managing an allocated case load with a focus on young person social and emotional wellbeing while fulfilling program reporting requirements.

You will also support the development, implementation and delivery of engagement and learning programs, as required.

About you

  • Experience working with young people at risk who are experiencing trauma and facing personal barriers to learning.
  • Commitment to practicing with cultural humility, respect and safety in the spirit of reconciliation.
  • Able to apply different practice frameworks to deescalated heightened behaviours and keep clients safely engaged in the program.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging young people in the development of tailored case plans.
  • Demonstrated experience, expertise, and commitment to supporting young people at risk including extensive knowledge of trauma and complex needs.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to embedding the young person's voice in all aspect of their case plan.
