Your new role
As the family therapist within the Therapeutic Services program you will have the opportunity to utilise an integrated approach to strengthening family connections and supporting stability and nurturance for children. As the family therapist you will:
- Provide high quality, ethical and professional centre-based family therapy counselling services.
- Work collaboratively with all key stakeholders to ensure quality intervention for children and families.
- Contribute to the development and strengthening of therapeutic practice across programs through consultation, modelling and reflective discussion.
- Ensure contemporary knowledge of relevant Government policy and programs at the local, state and federal levels
- In addition to clinical work, the therapist offers secondary consultation and reflective support to practitioners, strengthening systemic and relational practice across programs.
About you
- Appropriate qualification in Family Therapy and registration with appropriate body.
- Minimum three to five years of practice experience as a Family Therapist
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in assessment, succinct formulation and family therapy interventions with families.
- Able to manage a complex case load, recording appropriate case notes and records in compliance with organisational and legislative requirements.
- Ability to understand the complexity and diversity of our clients and ensure equitable, responsive and quality service.
- The ability to develop and maintain positive professional relationships within the organisation and wider networks.
