Child and Family Group Leader

An exciting opportunity exists within our Integrated Family Services (IFS) team to develop, coordinate and facilitate primary prevention, early intervention and tertiary groupwork with children and families. We are seeking a qualified Child and Family Worker to join our IFS team to deliver outcomes focussed and evidence-based group practices, and more broadly, our multi-disciplinary service model that provides support and interventions to a diverse range of clients.

This role will also be responsible for Championing father inclusive practice and co-ordinating the Father Inclusive Practice Network Meeting for the North East.

The successful candidate will have proven capabilities in the following areas:

  • At least 5 years' experience of working within a related field
  • Ability to develop, implement and evaluate group and community awareness programs
  • Ability to engage and communicate to groups of people, tailoring communication and activities to suit a specific target group
  • Ability to apply organisational practice principals, models and risk management frameworks
  • Working within an integrated and multi-disciplinary team

Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology or similar field is required. A Working with Children Card, National and International Police Checks and a driver's licence are also required.
