Your new role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to lead our Financial Accounting team in delivering high-quality financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting system transformation. Reporting to the General Manager - Finance, this pivotal role oversees finance operations, statutory and tax reporting, and funding acquittals while supporting system, policy, and process improvements that enhance organisational capability.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance leader with strong technical skills, excellent stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to building financial literacy across the organisation.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee all day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll interface, month-end/year-end close, and annual audit.
  • Manage statutory compliance, tax reporting, and funding acquittals.
  • Support financial systems transformation, including Sage Intacct implementation and integration with other platforms.
  • Provide high-quality reporting, variance analysis, and insights for decision-making.
  • Coach and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, translating complex financial information for non-finance audiences.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • CA or CPA qualification (essential).
  • Minimum 7 years experience in finance, including 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB 15, 1058, 16).
  • Demonstrated experience in the NFP or human services sector, including fund/grant accounting and salary packaging.
  • Proven ability to manage audits, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with finance system implementation (Sage Intacct or similar).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
