Kids First Australia is seeking a committed and inspiring Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our team at Southern Cross Kindergarten in Endeavour Hills in a parental leave position until the end of the school year. About the Role

This position covers Wednesday and Friday teaching days, totalling 16.30 hours per week under the VECTEA agreement. You will lead a high-quality kindergarten program that reflects the needs, strengths, and voices of children and families, while contributing to ongoing quality improvement across the service.

What You'll Bring

• Ideally, a bachelor's degree in early childhood education (ACECQA approved)
• 3-5 years of experience in early childhood education
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF, VEYLDF, and NQS
• Strong understanding of Child Safe Standards and Early Childhood Regulations
• Confidence in delivering a culturally safe, inclusive, and responsive program
• A strong commitment to child safety, ethical practice, and professional integrity
• Experience contributing to:
  • Continuity of learning and program planning
  • QIP processes
  • School Readiness Funding (SRF) initiatives
  • Children's learning cycles, documentation, and assessment
• Warm communication skills and the ability to build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
