Your opportunity:

As a Board Director, you will join a respected and dynamic Board and contribute to the strategic leadership and governance of Kids First Australia. You will help ensure our values remain central as we pursue our vision, purpose and ambitious strategic plan. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting in good faith and the best interests of Kids First, supporting the Board to fulfil its fiduciary duties in accordance with the Kids First Constitution, Board Charter, ACNC Governance Standards and the Corporations Act
  • Participating in Board sub committees and contributing to strong governance, oversight and accountability.
  • Providing strategic leadership aligned with your professional expertise
  • Supporting ethical advocacy that advances the organisation's charitable purpose.

About you

  • You have tertiary qualifications in either public policy, social services, organisational psychology or related fields
  • You are a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors
  • You have extensive leadership experience in child, youth and family services and/or early childhood education and care
  • Board experience and understanding of governance in a NFP setting
