Early Childhood Teacher

KFA delivers programs that are trauma-informed, and all educators receive training and ongoing support to confidently embed these approaches in their practice. As a Child Safe Organisation, child safety is central to everything we do. All staff are required to complete National Child Safe Training (Foundation and Advanced), and child safety responsibilities are embedded in every aspect of our work.

About the Role

The ECT will work as part of a supportive team to deliver a high-quality kindergarten program with a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, child led exploration, and inclusive practice for children aged 3-5. You will work closely with families, colleagues, and external professionals to ensure every child is supported to thrive.

About you

  • Community minded practice and strong partnership skills
  • Effective communication skills with children, families, and colleagues
  • Experience supporting children with challenging behaviours
  • Commitment to an outdoor program and nature-based learning
  • Understanding of trauma-informed practice (training provided) Completion of National Child Safe Training Foundation and Advanced (or willingness to complete upon commencement)
  • ECT experience is essential
  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Full VIT registration preferred
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma training
  • Commitment to Child Safe Standards and ongoing child safety training
